Thanks for reading.
Here’s a bit about
who I am.

I write about the things I see in my practice every day — the patterns, the pressures, the things high-achieving professionals rarely say out loud. If something I wrote resonated with you, there’s probably a reason for that.

About Me

I Was a Lawyer Before I Became a Psychiatrist

That’s not a detail I lead with to impress anyone. It’s relevant because it shapes everything about how I practice. I spent years inside the legal and professional world before I retrained as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Columbia University and Johns Hopkins.
So when an attorney, a finance executive, or a business owner sits across from me, I genuinely understand the environment they’re navigating. The pressure. The identity investment. The reasons they’ve avoided getting help until now. I don’t need any of it explained.

I run a small, private concierge practice. I don’t take insurance. I keep a deliberately limited patient panel so that every person I work with gets my full attention not a 15-minute med check, not a covering associate, not a scheduler between us.

The articles I write come from things I see every week in my practice. If something landed for you, it’s probably because some part of it is already true in your life.

Who I Work With

Mostly People Who Are Still Functioning

My patients are attorneys, executives, finance professionals, business owners, and high-achieving adults who are still showing up, still performing but something has shifted. Sleep is off. Decisions feel heavier. Anxiety is present in a way it wasn’t before. Or they’ve hit a wall that hard work alone isn’t moving.

They’re not in crisis. They’re not looking for emergency support. They need a clinician who can actually work at the level of complexity their life involves someone who understands the professional context, not just the symptom.

Privacy matters enormously to most of them. This is a private pay, out-of-network practice. Your care never appears on an insurance record, a claims database, or anywhere that could affect your professional standing.

If Any of This Sounds Familiar

You Don’t Have to Have It All Figured Out Before You Reach Out

Most people who contact me don’t have a neat summary of what’s going on. They just know that something isn’t right and that the standard options haven’t worked or won’t work for their situation.
That’s fine. That’s exactly what the first conversation is for. No pressure, no commitment. Just a conversation to see if this practice is the right fit.
