Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is the work of understanding the patterns underneath what you are dealing with and building durable ways to change them. At The Lieberman Center it is available for a portion of the caseload, and for the patients it fits, it is delivered by the same clinician who oversees the rest of their care, rather than handed off to someone who never speaks with the person managing everything else.

Care is delivered directly by Brad Lieberman, PMHNP-BC, with no intake coordinator and no rotating provider.

What integrated therapy looks like

  • One clinician who understands the whole picture, not a split between a prescriber and a separate therapist who never talk
  • Sessions focused on the patterns that feed anxiety, low mood, stress, and burnout
  • A pace and structure built around your goals rather than a fixed protocol
  • The option to combine therapy with medication where that serves you, or to do therapy on its own

Who it is for

Therapy here fits people who want more than a medication plan, who value continuity, and who would rather not coordinate between separate providers who never speak to each other. It is often the foundation of care for anxiety, depression, and burnout, with medication considered only if and when it clearly adds something.

Privacy that stays private

Many of the professionals the practice works with care about where their information goes. Because care is private-pay, no insurance claim is filed, so your diagnosis is not coded into a payer’s claims database or the data-broker networks that draw from it. Your care stays a direct relationship between you and your provider, not a data trail moving through third parties you never chose.

Common questions

Do you offer therapy and medication together?

Yes, when it serves you, and from one clinician. Many patients do best with a combination, and keeping both in a single relationship keeps the plan coherent. Therapy on its own is also an option.

How often would we meet?

That depends on what you are working on and what you want. Frequency is set together and adjusted over time rather than fixed by a rigid schedule.

Take the First Step

Start with a Discovery Call

The first step is a brief fifteen-minute Discovery Call to discuss what you are looking for and confirm the practice is the right fit. There is no charge and no obligation. Most new patients are seen within roughly forty-eight hours of that first conversation.
